Oskar Air Products focuses on Fume Extraction in Technical schools
When most people think about welding smoke and the workers that are exposed to the harmful smoke they think of large industrial facilities. Installations where workers have been exposed to toxic conditions for years and business owners are not concerned about changing or cleaning up their facility. What most people do no think about are the hundreds of schools and training centers where young adults and adults are enrolled in to learn the extensive trade of welding.
These schools and training facilities are the backbone of their educational training and it should be here that these students are taught that welding smoke is harmful but there are ways to exhaust or filter the smoke so welders are not exposed to harmful air impurities.
Oskar with the assistance of their dealers have been installing fume extraction and filtration equipment for the past several years in schools and training centers. The students are taught the proper way to weld and should be taught the proper way a facility can help improve their safety. The latest installation of Oskar’s Fume Arms consisted of over 70 fume arms installed in 4’ x 4’ booths. The flexibility and strength of the fume allows the welder to position the arm over the area they are welding and remoe all the fumes and smoke before it reach the breathing zone of the welder. This is just one of several methods that Oskar can assist welders in removing smoke from their breathing zone.
For more information on all the ways to filter or extract welding fumes feel free to contact Oskar or one of Oskar’s dealers.
